The event which is jointly organized by UNESCO and the Government of Ghana, will among other things look at the Media's role in keeping power in check, issues of Justice and the Rule of Law and also examine contemporary challenges of ensuring press freedom online. Experts from Ghana attending the meeting are expected to champion the urgency for the passage of the Right to Information Bill and address the current issues of attacks on Journalists in the line of duty.
