Government urged to increase investment in Vaccines The National Chairman of Ghana Coalition of NGO's in Health, Dr. Gabriel Bernaku is urging government to strengthen the Health System and increase investment in Vaccines, not only to save the lives of children but also strengthen the economy. He said the Health Coalition is in partnership with the Ghana Health Service with funding grant from Global Alliance for vaccines and immunisation to play a complementary role by introducing social and health accountability strategy to increase demands for immunisation and quality services. Speaking at the Africa Immunisation Week Commemoration at the Maamobi General Hospital in Accra, Dr. Bernaku stressed the need for all parents to ensure that their children are immunised against the thirteen preventable childhood diseases.
