Teacher Trainee Allowance restored but analyst says policy is unsustainable

An Education Policy Analyst, Kofi Asare says restoring the Teacher Trainee allowance is a waste of the tax payer`s money.  

He said considering the resource constraint of the country, the policy is unsustainable.  

Mr. Asare said since teacher training colleges are tertiary institutions, the teacher trainees should rather access student loans and not be given any special treatment.
