Gov’t to embark on aggressive exploration in upstream oil industry Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia says Ghana will later this year open the first bidding to allocate oil blocks to competent companies in Ghana's off-shore basins. The move is to ensure transparency and accountability in the oil and gas sector. Addressing investors at the launch of the Ghana-Norway Business and Investment Forum in Accra, Vice President Bawumia said government will also embark on an aggressive drive to revive the industry, to make new discoveries to replace depleting reserves.
