19th March, 2018 The Ghanaian Times commends government's initiative of involving MDA's in the clean city campaign and adds that it must not be a one day wonder. The paper says the state Institutions, which are the duty bearers, must push the development agenda hard and provide the leadership for the rest of the country to follow. The Times says this is the time to rise up to the challenge and prove that the country is a serious one and committed to goals of living in a clean environment and also the gateway to the West African sub-region. Daily Heritage has added its voice to calls for Ghana to tap into solar energy. The paper says the country is blessed with abundance of of sunlight therefore the need to exploit it to the fullest. The Daily Heritage applauds President Akufo-Addo's reaffirmation of considering solar energy to minimize the over reliance of hydro and thermal power. The Finder says providing adequate security for the President all over the world is a matter of crucial importance. The paper says it sees as baseless some of the criticisms against the decision of the National Security to evict residents close to the Nima recidence of President Akufo-Addo.The paper simply say the security of the President cannot be toyed with as it is not done anywhere.
