Stonebwoy names baby after late mum

Reggae and dancehall artiste Stonebwoy last Saturday, christened his daughter who was born in December 2017 Catherine-Jiluda T. Satekla.

Stonebwoy whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla married Dr. Louisa Ansong in June 2017 at a private ceremony in Accra.

The couple was blessed in January with a daughter Catherine, six month after their wedding.

The name, Catherine-Jidula T. Satekla,  was revealed at a well-attended naming ceremony  held at the their residence in Accra.

The multiple award winning musician posted on his social media account a picture showing only the arm of the baby in a bracelet with the name Catherine engraved on it.

Stonebwoy's mother Mrs. Catherine  Satekla, died in July 2015 , at the 37 Military hospital.

His latest album, "Epistles of Mama" sought to eulogize his mother with one of the songs titled, "Mama".

In 2017, while performing at the BHIM Nation concert, Stonebwoy was reported to have cried when singing a song in memory of his mother.

The naming ceremony was attended by close friends and relatives including a renowened actor, Kofi Adjorlolo who is said to be an uncle to Stonebwoy.
