Civil Engineer advocates complete overhaul of Inspectorate Divisions of MMDAs A Civil Engineer, Ben Arthur, says the whole Inspectorate Division of the District Assemblies need to be overhauled to be able to effectively perform their functions. He said most of the Assemblies are under staffed and therefore cannot catch up with the spate of development. Mr. Arthur was speaking to Radio Ghana, on the collapse of some buildings in the Agona West District of the Central Region which left about 32 people including 15 Sunday School children in critical condition. Mr. Arthur said government can design a model through the Youth Employment Agency to recruit and train some of the youth for the District Assemblies as Building Inspectors, to avoid shoddy work and the use of inferior materials which cause buildings to collapse.
