Interior Minister calls for fast tracking of procurement process to re-tool police 

The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, says the crime rate is being contained by the Police Department. 

He said although criminals seem to have changed their modus operandi, the police are on top of the situation. 

He told journalists in Parliament that though government has pledged financial commitment for their logistics, the procurement procedure needs to be fast tracked so they can be deployed in the shortest possible time.
