Shake-up In Police Command As Police Hierarchy Deals With Recent Spate Of Armed Robbery 

The Inspector-General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, has made changes in the command structure of the Ghana Police Service. 

Director-General Operations COP Dr. George Akuffo is now the Director General of Police Research and Planning, COP Rev. David Nenyi-Ampah Benin, Central Regional Commander moves to Director-General, Special Duties. 

COP Christian Tetteh Yohunu, Director General of Special duties is now the Director General of the Police Intelligence whiles DCOP George Tuffour, Tema Regional Commander now heads the Volta Region as Regional Commander. 

The Eastern Regional Commander DCOP Simon Afeku is now the Director General of Operations, Director General of Private Security Operations, DCOP Paul Manly Awuni moves to  the Central  Region as Regional Commander, DCOP Alphonsa Adu Amankwa who was the commander in charge of the Central MTTU, Accra Region is now the Eastern Regional Commander, Volta Regional Commander DCOP Nana Asomah Hinrieh now heads the Tema Regional Command, ACP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Garibu of the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards Bureau is now the Director of National Operations, whiles ACP Anderson Fosu Achaah commandant of the Police Academy is now the commander  in charge of the Central MTTU, Accra Region with ACP Eric Winful National Operations  transferred to the Project Unit, Police Headquarters. 

The Police Administration urges the public to support the personnel in the discharge of their duties. .
