Minority wants Ken Ofori-Atta dismissed over issuance of bond

The Minority in Parliament is asking the President to relieve the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta of his post on grounds of conflict of interest and related matters in the issuance of a bond last year. 

At a news conference in Accra, the Minority Leader Haruna Idrissu said a report from Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) makes it clear that Mr. Ofori-Atta concealed his interests in a number of financial institutions in his assets declaration forms.
 
He said this action contravenes the Criminal Offences Act and as such must be made to resign.

The Minority Leader said the Finance Minister also withheld information from the public in relation to the seven year and 15 year bonds issued last year.
