Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joins Arsenal for club-record fee Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has completed his move to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund for a club-record fee of £55.4 million (€63m). Arsenal had already agreed the amount earlier this week and offered him a contract worth around £180,000-a-week until 2021. Manager Arsene Wenger on Tuesday admitted that getting the Aubameyang deal over the line would prove "complicated", with Dortmund believed to want assurances over a replacement possibly Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea, who are themselves looking to bring in Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud before letting Gabon's all-time leading scorer depart. Aubameyang will now link up with former Dortmund colleague Henrikh Mkhitaryan following his arrival from Manchester United earlier this month in exchange for Alexis Sanchez. Aubameyang scored 141 goals in four-and-a-half seasons for Dortmund. Arsenal sealed the deal after sending a delegation to Dortmund headed by chief executive Ivan Gazidis that also included new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat and contract negotiator Huss Fahmy.
