Illegal occupants of Kaiser Flats in Tema asked to vacate or face forcible ejection About one hundred and 85 illegal occupants at the Kaiser flats in Tema have been asked to vacate the dilapidated flats before February, 1 or face forcible eviction. The illegal occupants of the flats went to court to restrain the TDC from ejecting them, but after several years of litigation, in November 2016 the High Court and Court of Appeal ruled in favour of TDC. This came to the fore when the Government spokesperson on Infrastructure, Richard Asante Yeboah, the Greater Accra Regional NADMO Coordinator, Archibald Cobbina the TDC and TMA engineers as well as some officials and stakeholders made an inspection tour of the Kaizer Flats to ascertain the extent of destruction.
