Twelve accused persons involved in the Kwabenya shootings which led to the death of one police officer, Emmanuel Ashilevi have been remanded into police custody. They were charged with five counts, which are possession fire arm without lawful authority, abetment to possessing firearm without lawful authority, conspiracy to commit crime, escape from lawful custody and abetment to escape from lawful custody. The accused persons are Prince Osei,alias Bebe, Attah Kwadwo, Kofi Darko, Nancy Denta, George Yeboah, Prince Kofi Acheampong Edward Lartey ,Kofi Seshie George Sarbah, Elvis Owusu ,George Asante and Theophilus Bandah. The first two accused persons pleaded guilty to the charge of escape from lawful authority. The Court presided over by Aboagye Tandoh differed their sentence to the thirteenth of next month.
