Births & Deaths Registry ordered to accept registration of indigenous Ghanaian names 

Government has directed the Births and Deaths registry to accept the registration of indigenous names of Ghanaians deemed as titles. 

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama said this in Parliament when she briefed the house on the position of the registry on some names. 

She said the ministry will soon present a bill to reflect the aspirations of modern Ghana when it comes to names.
