Persons with Disability urged to register with District Assemblies to benefit from common fund

The Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund Naa Torshie Addo, has called on persons with disabilities to register with the District Assemblies to enable them to benefit from the Common Fund.
 
Speaking to Bubu Klinogo, on Behind the News, Madam Addo noted that the first quarter of the money would be released after March and all registered persons will benefit.

President of the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisation, Yaw Ofori Debrah, said most of the challenges associated with the Common Fund are as a result of the attitude of some assembly members who short change persons with disability as well as borrow from the fund, an act he believes must be curbed for the fund to fulfill its purpose.
