ICU calls for due diligence on tax to fund NHIS

The General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union, ICU, Solomon Kotei says due dilligence and proper assessment must be done before taxing the Ghanaian workers  towards the funding of the  national health scheme. 

The assessment should among other things, rope in other groups which are not contributing to the health sector. Speaking on Behind the News,Mr Kotei  urged the NHIA to also find ways to tax foreigners who also  benefit from the  scheme.
