Nyinahin District Police Command arrests three robbers The Nyinahin District Police Command in Ashanti has arrested three suspected robbers at Nyinahin in the Atwima Nponua who were involved in robbery that took place at the Asanayo forest on the Afepaye-Nyinahin trunk road on the 15th of this month. The suspects, Dramani Seidu, 24 years old, Richard Bronyiwa, 25 years and Joseph Gyimah alias Agyaku, 24 years, were arrested upon police intelligence. According to the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Fred Adu Anim, the suspects, wielding two single-barreled guns, laid ambush at the Asenayo forest, fired and stopped a driver in charge of a 207 Benz Sprinter passenger bus and forcibly ordered him to stop, which he obliged out of fear. He said the three suspected armed robbers at gunpoint, then ordered the driver and all the passengers out of the vehicle to lie down and subsequently robbed them of unspecified amount of money and over 20 mobile phones and bolted into the forest. DCOP Fred Adu Anim said luch however eluded them, when the police arrested them at Aiakrom, a village near Nyinahin. He search in their rooms revealed two single barreled guns, two BB cartridges, one AAA catridge, 20 assorted mobile phones, seven dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, a sachet of Tramadol capsules and one thousand 350 Ghana Cedis.
