I am extremely proud of my wife - President Akufo-Addo 

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised the First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo for the bold initiative of the reconstruction of the Mother and baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

In a tweet, President Akufo-Addo said “i am extremely proud of my beloved Rebecca, today's commissioning of the Mother and baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is a welcome development.”

President Akufo-Addo stated that the development will go a long way to help reduce drastically the mortality rate of mothers and babies at the hospital.

The Rebecca Foundation took on the initiative to reconstruct the unit following media report of the deplorable nature of the unit.
