First Lady today inaugurates newly constructed Mother and Child Unit at KATH

The First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo Addo will Friday January 19 inaugurate the newly constructed Mother and Baby Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. 

The First Lady, through the Rebecca Foundation refurbished to the facility after media reports of needless deaths of mothers and babies due to congestion. 

The facility which was constructed in five months has three surgical theatres, meaning three women can undergo a caesarean section at a go. 

Also, babies will no longer have to share cots as 30 new ones have been placed in the Unit.
