Anxiety among small scale miners as government unable to tell when ban will be lifted The General Secretary of the Small Scale Miners Association, Godwin Amarh, says signals from government on lifting the ban on small scale mining are not clear. He said the President's response at the Media Encounter that Cabinet will meet to decide on the way forward has created anxiety among members of the Association. Speaking to GBC’s Felix Cofie, Mr. Amarh said government must lift the ban to allow members of the Association to go back to work. He said the Taskforce formed by the Association is doing well. According to Mr. Amarh, five hundred illegal miners have been arrested by the taskforce. Furthermore the Taskforce is dredging the Birim River. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
