18th January, 2018 The Daily Graphic wants the discovery of lithium in commercial quantity in the Volta Region to be harness to benefit Ghanaians. The paper says the mineral discovered has a lot of economic benefit and its discovery in the country is welcome news. The Graphic notes that the statement by the Chief executive of the Minerals Commission that the Commission wants investors to mine the resource is not far-fetch due to lack of funds to invest in the projects. The Graphic suggests a national stakeholders forum to discuss the discovery in detail to pave the way for galvanising local investors to the area and turn the fortunes of the country around. The Ghanaian Times says Ghanaians should stay professional and avoid any conclusion, to allow security agencies to get to the bottom of the matter as they promised to get some answers from the interrogation. They also raise suspicion that some of this explosives grenades might have sold into the market. We urge government to adequately resource the security agencies to conduct efficient and effective border patrol duties to look out for these intruders.
