Make Uber operators pay tax and paint vehicles in taxi colours - Commercial Vehicle Operators

Commercial Vehicle Operators have asked government to make Uber operators pay tax and paint their vehicles in taxi colours. 

The National Vice Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union GPRTU, Robert Sabah said the operations of Uber are illegal and frown on road traffic regulations.

Speaking on Behind the News Mr. Sabah added that Uber operators are competing with them unfairly. 

The Public Relations Officer of the Concerned Drivers Union, David Aboado said Uber has no right to operate on the roads of the country.

According to him, the operators should follow the rules, if they want to operate in Ghana.
