Committee adjourns 'Cash for seat' probe indefinitely Cash for seat probe adjourns indefinitely The Committee set up to investigate the 'Cash for Seat' saga has suspended sitting indefinitely after expatriate witnesses failed to show up to assist in the investigations. The committee had invited 23 expatriate businesses that sponsored the Ghana Expatriate Business Awards last December. None of them however was present to testify before the committee. Majority Chief Whip and chairman of the committee, Ameyaw Kyeremeh, who is also the NPP MP for Sunyani East promised that new arrangements will be made to get them to appear. The reason for their absence was not officially communicated to the committee but there are suggestions the business leaders preferred an in-camera hearing. The Spokesperson for the bi-partisan probe, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, who is also a member of the committee told the media that the request for an in-camera hearing must be justified on merit. The Committee which was set up on January 5, began work on January 11 and has a January 24 deadline to meet. SOURCE: MYJOYONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
