Waste Scavengers The Health of scrap dealers in Agbogboloshie and the hazards their activities pose to the Environment will not be over soon. This is because scrap dealers, especially in electronic waste, continue to burn such parts to retrieve useful metals which are injurious to their health. An EU project of $250,000 which ended last year, according to the Director, Ghana National Cleaner Production Centre, Lambert Faabeluon has achieved its objective. One of the objectives is to facilitate the Private Sector to build recycling plants at the site to sort, dismantle and recover E-waste into different components. A visit to Agbogbloshie indicates that the machine to sort out the metals is not functioning. Report by Joyce Gyekye and Christopher Tamal. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
