Unidentified Gunmen Burn Down More Than 40 Houses at Disiga 
in Northern Region


Unidentified gunmen attacked and burned down more than 40 houses at Disiga in the North Gonja District of the Northern Region on Saturday night. 

The incident is believed to be related to an impasse between Gonja's and Tampilma's in the community over who collects taxes from Fulani herdsmen.

GBC's correspondent, Murtala Issa said there is uneasy calm in the area.He said the Police have been dispatched to the place to maintain order.

Later in the day,another group of unidentified gun men burned down houses at Salugu,also located in the district.There were no casualties.
