Court adjourns Mineworkers Union case against GoldFields Ghana to February 15 An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Laurenda Owusu, has struck out an application by the Attorney General compelling the plaintiff, Ghana Mineworkers Union to comply with section ten of the state proceedings act which enjoins an applicant to serve a thirty day mandatory notice on the Attorney General. The Court arrived at this decision when the second defendant who is the AG in the case against GoldFields Ghana Limited by the Ghana Mineworkers Union failed to show up in court to move the motion. The AG's motion filed on the 15th of last month was struck out Wednesday (January 10) for want of prosecution.
