José Filomeno dos Santos sacked from Angola's $5bn wealth fund The President of Angola, João Lourenço, has sacked the son of his predecessor José Eduardo dos Santos as head of the country's Sovereign Wealth Fund. José Filomeno dos Santos was removed months after an investigation. The five million dollar fund has generated controversy since its launch in 2011. This is the second of the former President's children to be dismissed by President Lourenço. Isabel dos Santos, was removed as head of the country's state oil company Sonangol last year. Miss dos Santos is said to be Africa's richest woman. Mr Lourenço came to power with a promise of cracking down on corruption.
