Two die of meningitis in Bongo District The Bongo District Hospital recorded two deaths out of five suspected cases of meningitis at the beginning of the year. GBC’s Radio Ghana has established that cerebrospinal fluids taken and sent to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital for test for Cerebrospinal Meningitis, (CSM) however proved negative. The Medical Superintendent at the facility, Dr William Gudu, who confirmed the test result has allayed the fears of residents as measures are being put in place to contain any possible outbreak. As a precautionary measure, Dr Gudu advised residents to prioritize proper hand washing with soap and also avoid overcrowding especially at home and public functions. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
