AMA starts major decongestion in Accra Today The Accra Metropolitan Assembly will this morning undertake a decongestion of the capital. As part of its plans to sanitize the metropolis especially unauthorised street hawking. The Coordinating Director of the AMA, Sam Ayeh-Datey said AMA's vision for Accra is a cleaner, healthier, safer and more congenial place where residents and visitors will stay and do their business with minimum stress and strain. He said stalls allocated to traders in the markets have been abandoned with some selling on the streets, while others have rented theirs without informing the AMA.
