Founder & Editor of Al-Hajj newspaper Alhaji Bature To Be Buried Today

The Founder and Editor of Al-Hajj newspaper Alhaji Iddrisu Bature is to be buried today at the Madina Cemetery in Accra, in accordance to the Islamic law.

The burial of the senior journalist will be preceded by Janaiza prayers which will be observed in his family house at Nima, Gorillas; adjacent UNIBANK.

Alhaji Bature 60 died on Friday January 5, 2018, at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital following a short illness. 

The former host of Alhaji and Alhaji on an Accra-based Radio Gold was also a regular Tuesday panelist on a local TV, "Adom TV" representing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on one side and Kennedy Agyapong from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on the other side

The death of the senior journalist is another big blow to the inky fraternity, less than two months after the death Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA) former late afternoon political show host of Asempa FM who was buried on December 16, 207.


Below Is Full Statement on the Sudden Demise of Alhaji Bature Iddrisu: 

The Iddrisu family and Harzet Company Limited, publishers of the The aL-hAJJ newspaper, wish to announce the sudden and untimely death of Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, Managing Editor of The aL-hAJJ newspaper. 

The late Alhaji Bature gave up the ghost few minutes past 3 p.m. at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment after a short illness. 

In line with the Islamic faith, Janaiza prayers will be observed, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his family house at Nima, Gorillas; adjacent UNIBANK. 

The mortal remains will then be conveyed to the Madina Cemetery at 1 p.m. for burial. 

We pray to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatil Firdaus. 

Indeed, from Allah we come and unto him is our return.
