NHIS proposes health tax

The Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance scheme, Dr. Samuel Yaw Annor is proposing tax on imported sugar to reduce importation due to a rise in diabetes cases. 

He said much of the claims paid by the scheme are for diabetes related cases.
