GBC Lawyer Urges Public To Be Calm Over TV Licence Prosecution


The Director of Legal Service of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC), Kwame Waja has asked the public to calm down and not be aggitated over fears of being jailed for the non payment of the TV licence.  

He said the Chief Justice has only created room to ensure that the laws are adhered to with the establishment of courts for TV licence cases.  

Speaking on GBC's Uniiq Breakfast Drive, Mr. Waja urged the Private Media to desist from inciting the public against the payment of the TV license fee.  

He said it behooves them to rather educate the people on their civic responsibility towards the National Broadcaster instead of criticizing it.

Mr. Waja said without a functioning public sector, the private organisations cannot  thrive.
