Bunso Ecotourism Centre under expansion to attract more tourists The Chief Executive Officer of the Bunso Ecotourism Centre, Kenneth Asare Akuffo, says expansion work is being carried out to elevate the Arboretum and make it more attractive to tourists. The project include construction of a car park, restaurant and a modern place of convenience. Speaking to a GBC Sunrise FM Correspondent in an interview at Bunso, Mr. Akuffo said the project being executed is expected to be in completion before Easter in order to open it to the public, made up of domestic and foreign tourists. He said that will double the number of tourists received annually since additional bridges are going to be added to the canopy walkway. Mr. Akuffo asked the public to disabuse the notion that the place is defunct because the bridge collapsed about two years ago. He said all the necessary steps were put in place, with the support of technocrats including officials from the Ghana Tourism Authority to resuscitate the site. Mr. Akuffo assured the public of security and safety at the site presently, due to the lessons learnt from the past experience and called on the public to show interest in domestic tourism to know more about their country.
