Seventeen personalities have been awarded fellowship of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration (FCIDA) for their dedicated service to national development.
 
Five of the awardees were decorated with the Brima Zik leadershp award.  

The awards were conferred on them at the CIDA International Leadership Summit in Tema.  

With the fellowship, the seventeen have the right to use the designation (FCIDA) by their names.

The awardees include the Anglican Bishop of Accra, Right Reverend Dr. Sylvanus Mensah Torto, David Nana Anim, President of the Ghana Tourism Federation, Professor Osei Darkwa, formerly of the Ghana Telecom University College, and Dr. Samuel Ato Duncan.  

The rest are, Kenneth Kelly Essuman and Emmanuel Nyarko Baah, Assembly member for Kaadjaanor in the La Dadekotopon Municipal Area.  

In a speech the Director General of FCIDA, Dr. Charles Marcus commended the earlier batch of 41 awardees for exemplary conduct.  

He called for high level of understanding and cooperation between leaders and their followers to ensure an accelerated transformation of society.
