Saviefe-Agorkpo indigenes in US support Community with education equipment 

Indigenes of Saviefe-Agorkpo in the United States of America has presented 10 desktop computers and its accessories to the community basic school.
     
The equipment, estimated at GHC 8,000.00, will serve 243 pupils at the local primary and junior high school. 
     
A representative of the group, Leila Djansi, said the gesture was to make education pleasant to children and prepare them for the technological world.
     
She reminded parents of the need to invest in the education of their children, saying, "The roots of education is bitter but the fruits are sweet."
     
Ms. Djansi hinted of the group's commitment to support projects yearly in the community, including a gari processing factory for women.
     
The Paramount Chief of Saviefe, Togbe Amankwanta III,  in a speech read on his behalf, expressed gratitude to the group and said the equipment would be put to good use.
     
He appealed to the government to support the community’s Agricultural Science Senior High School.
     
The Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Bedzra, also commended the group for the foresight and pledged to provide desks, refurbish the computer laboratory and connect it to the internet.
     
He also pledged to support the gari processing factory initiative.
