Lets positively project Bawku at all times – Lawyer Kpemka The Member of Parliament for Tempane Constituency in the Upper East Region, Lawyer Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, has said the numerous challenges facing the people in Bawku Traditional area and its environs can only be solved through genuine, all embracing and resolutions of a near absolute majority. He charged the people in the area to eschew bigotry, divisive tendencies, name calling, gossip, hypocrisy, pride and arrogance. Lawyer Kpemka who was speaking at the 30th Sammanpiid festival in Bawku challenged the people in the area to see one another brothers and sisters. He said criminals and armed robbers in our various communities must be exposed to the security; get them arrested to face the full rigours of the law. Lawyer Kpemka who is also the Deputy Minister for Attorney General said it is only when these misfits are eliminated or reduced to the barest minimum that well-meaning citizens can go about their work without fear. He appealed to the Paramount Chief of the Kusaug Traditional Area, Zugraan Naaba Abugrago Asigri Azoka and the organizers of the Annual Sammanpiid festival to ensure that yearly stock taking is not compromised. He underscored the need to take stock of their achievement since the inception of Sammanpiid, note their strengths and work on the weakness to ensure that every year, tremendous progress is made. The Deputy Minister for the Attorney General re-echoed the need for the people in the area to assassinate divisive tendencies and bury same in a sarcophagus for good if their lofty dreams and utopian aspirations are to see light of day. He called on the chiefs and the opinion leaders in the area to support the government in its flagship programs such as Free SHS, One-District-One-Factory, One-Village-One-Dam, Planting for food and jobs and other social interventions to fight the dangerous trio of poverty, disease and illiteracy.
