Nii Nortey Dua: Former Deputy Sports Minister dies

Former Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency Nii Nortey Dua has passed on.

He reportedly died Thursday dawn after a protracted ailment, sources close to his family have hinted.

The Late Dua was Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku constituency in the Greater Accra region between 2008 and 2012.

He was a former Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and also Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing under the Late President Prof. Mills’ administration. 

Mr Nortey Dua was beaten in the party’s primaries ahead of the 2012 elections by Benita Sena Okity-Duah, a former Miss Ghana winner.
