Fear grips women in Bimbilla following spate of unexplained deaths

Women are living in fear at Bimbilla in Northern Region following the murder of more than ten women in 2017. 

The last victim, forty year old Rahinatu, was murdered last week Sunday in her room as she watched television with her children. 

Madam Rahinatu's fourteen year old daughter, was also attacked during the incident, but was lucky enough to escape with gunshot wounds, and is now being treated at the Bimbilla hospital. 

Sources in Bimbilla say Madam Rahinatu who was also pregnant, was among three women threatened two weeks ago by some undisclosed persons, for talking too much. 

The other victims which include the Presiding Member of the Bimbilla District Assembly have since relocated to a more secure area.
