Ghana Health Service says only challenge to country`s surveillance system is communication gap 

The Ghana Health Service says the only challenge to the country`s surveillance system is the communication gap which needs to be addressed in order to respond to emergencies.  

The Deputy Director and Head of Surveillance at the Service, Dr. Franklin Asiedu Bekoe speaking on our Current Affairs Programme, Talking Point stated that the country`s Public Health Care System is robust and can handle any outbreak Dr. Asiedu Bekoe was speaking on the topic "Is Ghana`s Public Health System on Life Support? 

Also on the panel was the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service Dr. Badu Sarkodie.  

He said despite challenges the Ghana Health Service has been on track during the reported cases of H1N1 or Swine flu and Meningitis.
