Chairman Wontumi assures NPP of a 100% win for the party in Ashanti region The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has promised to win every seat in the region to the party. He also disclosed that an ultra-modern conference hall would be built in Kumasi. Chairman Wontumi was speaking at the extraordinary conference of the NPP at the Heroes Park of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Welcoming the delegates to the conference, he gave the assurance that, he will make a hundred percent, (100%) win for the party. “I will make sure I win every seat in the Ashanti Region for our great party,” he said. According to him, winning every parliamentary seat in the region is part of his main agenda before he exits office. Out of the 47 seats in the region, the NPP won 44 while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won 3 at the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections. The three seats won by the NDC are Asawase, Ejura-Sekyedumase and Sekyere Afram Plains. For his part, the Acting National Chairman of the Party, Freddie Blay, has called on delegates to ensure that they resolve any lingering issues they might have before they leave the Conference. Mr. Blay said the NPP can take a step closer to retaining power in the 2020 general elections if the Conference is conducted in a peaceful manner. “This is a family gathering; a meeting to see how best to ensure that our party is strong and formidable for future elections,” Mr. Blay said. The Party is currently holding its extraordinary delegates conference in Kumasi. More soon. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
