Ghana's High Commissioner to Kenya wants government to take strong stand on ban on plastics. Ghana's High Commissioner to Kenya, Francesca Ashietey Oduntun says Ghana can emulate the steps taken by Kenya in the ban of plastic bags. She said Ghana must take a strong stand on the issue if she wants to implement the ban. Recounting the Kenya story, Mrs. Ashietey Oduntun said although industries strongly opposed the ban on the use of plastic bags, the health implications of the menace outweighs the advantages. Mrs. Ashietey Oduntun who led Ghana's delegation to the just ended UN Environment Assembly in Kenya spoke with Joyce Gyekye to begin generation of 250 megawatt of Solar Energy from next year.
