Police beef up security at Najong near Bunkpurugu Police have beefed-up security in Najon in the Bunkpurugu district of the Northern Region, after a gun attack killed four people and injured several others Sunday night. GBC’s Northern Regional Correspondent, Murtalla Issah in an interview earlier said the police have not made any arrest yet but calm has been restored. Meanwhile, a Security Expert, Adib Saani has called for surveillance at the various borders across the country. This follows the sporadic shootings of residents of Bunkpurugu in the Northern Region resulting in four casualties. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Saani condemned the porous nature of the borders, adding that it does not augur well for national security especially with the recent increase in violence in some neighbouring countries. Mr. Saani further indicated that effective collaboration between security agencies and community members and enforcement of arms related laws will save situations. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
