Taskforce to check influx of foreign textiles inaugurated 

A sixteen member taskforce to check the activities and influx of foreign textiles into the country has been inaugurated in Accra. 

Trade Minister, Alan Kyeremanten, said government's ambition of a modern industrialised economy will not be marred by fraudulent activities that are killing indigenous textile companies. 

Mr. Kyeremanten said there is a cocktail of measures underway to deal with the problem at source. 

The Ministry also inaugurated the board of the Ghana Trade Fair Company with the following responsibilities.
