Elections will go ahead despite opposition leader's withdrawal says Kenyatta 

Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta says that the October 26 election re-run will go ahead despite the withdrawal of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Raila Odinga pulled out of the election because he accused the country's electoral commission of not making changes needed to avoid the "illegalities" in the re-run.
 
Meanwhile Kenya's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) say it has taken the necessary steps to guarantee a credible presidential election re-run.
