The Ghanaian Times lauds government for the restoration of the nurses and midwifery allowances. The paper sees the move as a fulfilment of government's promise to the people of Ghana and a sigh of relieve of the financial burden of parents of the beneficiaries. The paper urges the trainees to make the intervention reflect in their service to the nation in their future life. The Times again calls on government to speed up efforts to employ others who have already completed their training to reduce unemployment among the youth and make the nation reap the full benefits of their profession.

The Daily Heritage calls for concerted efforts by supervising authorities and individuals to combat the increasing rate of air pollution. The paper sees urban air pollution as being on the rise and describes it as the cause of the high rate of cardiovascular diseases in the country. According to the Heritage, the issue of emission  of poisonous gas into the atmosphere is  compounded by the importation of polluted fuel from Europe which is widely used across the country. The Heritage believes that cardiovascular diseases are no respecter of persons hence, the need to fight air pollution by all.
