IDEG calls for multi-party elections at district levels A Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Democratic Governance IDEG, Kwesi Jonah says Ghana's current electoral system encourages politicians to prioritize election victories instead of development, due to the winner takes all nature of Ghana's political system. This consequently makes elections in the country hotly contested. He therefore called for multi-party elections at the District Level to make Ghana's democratic system more inclusive and less acrimonious.
