India face severe test against USA

After a one nil victory for Ghana against Colombia, the baton has fallen on the host nation India to fetch their first win in any FIFA organised tournament as they face United States in the other group A game.

United States nicknamed ‘The Yanks’ spent seven days in Dubai for the pre-world cup training camp before arriving in New Delhi. Now with the focus on winning their first game to announce their presence would be met with raucous atmosphere from the home fans.

The last meeting between these two countries ended 4-0 advantage John Hackworth’s side. With US making their 16th appearance the task looks very herculean for the Indian Colts coached Luis Norton de Matos.

Last edition’s runners up Mali will play against Paraguay in the other group B game which is live on GTV, GTV Sports+ and all GBC regional radio stations nationwide.
