Retrieved Excavators from illegal miners will not be burnt: Galamsey Taskforce

The Government's taskforce on illegal mining also known as Operation Vanguard says excavators retrieved from illegal miners will no longer be burnt. 

This was after concerns were raised that rather than burning the excavators, they must be put to good use. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Commander of the Joint Tasks force for Operation Vanguard, Colonel William Agyapong, said the seized excavators will be kept at a particular place for government to take a concrete decision on them.
