Atiwa District Security Committee to meet following death of four illegal miners

The Atiwa District Assembly will Tuesday hold an emergency DISEC meeting following the death of four illegal miners found in a galamsey pit at Kwabeng in the Atiwa District. 
 
Speaking to Radio Ghana, the District Chief Executive for Atiwa, Kwabena Payin Nkansah said after hearing of the unfortunate incident, he visited the camp of the Operation Vanguard to ascertain if they had knowledge about the unfortunate incident. 

It happens that the taskforce had no knowledge of the death of the four because per the rules of the taskforce they are not supposed to be out of their camp after 6pm and the incident happened at 11pm. 

Mr. Nkansah said the bodies of the four have been deposited at the Police Hospital in Accra for autopsy.
