The Daily Graphic calls for more attention to be given to Technical and Vocational Training which is a tool for solving the unemployment situation in the country.  The paper says the importance of TVET cannot be overemphasised as most developed nations introduced rigorous functional regimes that have enhanced their development. The Graphic says an enabling environment must therefore be created for TVET to play its role effectively in the development drive of the country as  unemployment  has, no doubt created a time bomb that could explode anytime if no pragmatic measures are taken to deal with it decisively.  

The Ghanaian Times has urges the Hajj Board to be forth-coming with information regularly concerning the flight schedules in order to put everyone at ease.  According to the paper, the absence of credible information from the Hajj Board only fuels speculations which poisons the atmosphere and creates anxiety. This comes after delays in the departure of muslims who converged on the Hajj village in Tamale for the pilgrimage to Mecca. The paper is hopeful that the board will correct the mistakes from previous trips to ensure subsequest trips are hitch-free.


The Daily Heritage is of the view that the habit of making pupils and students of first and second cycle institutions weed to serve as punishment is affecting the interest of the youth in agriculture negatively. The paper says it is about time the Education Ministry and the Ghana Education Service together with stakeholders, fine-tune the agric syllabisyllabi made the Agric subject more revealing and interesting to attract and sutain the youth in the sector.  It says  there should also be focus on institutional, financial and technical innovations that will attract the youth into all stages of the agriculture value chain.
